Character Information
Character Name: Dru, Drake and Laura
Species: Dru and Drake are meteor-enhanced humans, Laura is half Kryptonian
History:
Dru and Drake were abandoned by their mother at a local orphanage as toddlers because she was scared of their powers. The Puerto Rican heritage had them labeled as cursed by their mother and their culture, and it was difficult to find them a home until Clark and April came into their lives. Dru let Drake speak for her most of the time, but it is there is soft tones, that whisper so quietly from her, and Drake speaks for himself with volume.
Laura is the second born of Clark and April's children. Her superstrength took a little longer to develop than her brothers, manifesting at age four, followed by the superspeed at age eight. Of course when puberty hit, she had a lot of difficulties with the manifestation of her heat vision. It was quite embarrassing for her to discuss with her father and seek help... but she managed to get the assistance that was required to control her powers. Her love of reading and education has led Laura to taking college-level classes earlier in her life, and one of her goals is to become a doctor. Especially with her unique powers, she feels that being a doctor would be an asset to other superheros who need someone they can trust with their secrets.
World History: All three siblings live in the Smallville (TV series) world, where their father is Clark Kent, of Superman fame. Their mother is April, a vampire from the Buffyverse (TV series) world.
Why this character: I want to explore the three siblings in more depth and feel they would make an excellent addition to Narnia. They are ready for an adventure
Personality:
Laura usually has a plan for everything and a lot of thought and deliberation to her actions. She looks out for her younger siblings, and will take responsibility if something happens while Mom or Dad aren't home. Laura loves to read, and is often found with books that contain complex education materials.
Drake is a prankster, pure and simple. He loves to find new ways to torment his older brother Jonathan, and often will do it to remove pressure from younger sibling Martha. The pranks usually go off a little better than most because of his developing telepathy that will alert him to if someone is around watching.
If one doesn't note Dru right away, that is because the young girl really doesn't want to be noticed. She is very quiet, and often uses her telepathy abilities to blend into the background. She often feels scared of being abandoned again, even though she was too young to remember being left as a toddler. And there is some nervousness in her heart of having her meteor-enhanced powers, when all she wants in life is to be normal. To not be feared.
Abilities/Strengths and Weaknesses: Drake and Dru have twin telepathy. They can not read the mind of others yet. Dru sometimes can sense the emotions of others. Laura has superspeed, superstrength, increased durability, and heat vision. Her Kryptonian heritage does mean she has a weakness to the presence of Kryptonite.

First Person Sample:
Laura: It was a typical day for Laura, as she had brought an armful of books outside to her favorite chair on the deck. It was always nice to sit and enjoy the bright sun of the afternoon, reading through challenging reading material for her age. Of course, Laura first started to read at the age of two, and never stopped. She found a love for books -- one that she always found time for.
The other children were out and about doing their own thing. Giving her time to truly get through a full book without interruption.
Laura loved her other siblings, but it was nice not to have to watch over them right now. It seemed that some of the younger ones were always getting in trouble, and it came to either Laura or her older brother Jonathan to come to the rescue.
The books were her favorite escape. Laura gladly took pleasure in not having to worry about anything but what she read. Not being the 'daughter of Superman', not dealing with her own developing Kryptonian powers, and not having to worry about if the other children were causing trouble or not. Today was all about the books. It was a good day.
Drake: Drake was doing his best to contain his laughter, mindful that older brother Jonathan would hear him if the laughter got too loud. But it was so hard... the prank had worked beautifully and in the end Jonathan got a face full of feathers. And since he was previously covered by sticky syrup, the feathers would be difficult to remove.
It was payback in a fashion, and distraction in a different fashion. Drake had been assigned extra chores last week because of his less than stellar grades and figured it wouldn't hurt to show Big Brother who was boss around here. Plus if the attention was on Drake, then no one would know that younger sister Martha was unaccounted for right now.
Of course Drake knew where Martha was, and was covering for his younger sister. His twin didn't know how to fun, he might as help the one sister who did. After all... life was all about having fun and making things interesting.
Dru: Things were tense at home. Both Martha and Drake were in trouble and were grounded. William had been quiet the past couple of nights, Laura was busy studying for a big final exam, and Jonathan was having troubles finding a part for one of his projects. All of the siblings were in their rooms, and Dru felt uncertain where to go. She shared a room with Martha, but couldn't stand the complaining from her younger sister anymore. And what was worse was that her telepathy was picking up on all of the unspoken thoughts from each sibling.
Softly, she tiptoed down to the kitchen, where mother and father were having a late-night talk about what to do about the problems that were recently caused by Martha and Drake. Dru didn't eavesdrop because she knew it was wrong. She waited in the living room until she heard her mother go up to check on the other children. Returning to the kitchen, Dru peeked in and saw her dad sitting there with a thoughtful look.
With a couple of steps, Dru moved across the room and climbed up into her father's lap. She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, and whispered, "It's okay daddy. You are doing a good job. Don't worry."
